When we are criticised by others, told we’re not good enough, lack support and encouragement, have bad experiences, we start to believe we are falling short in some way. Second, we start to internalise our external experiences which influences how we communicate with ourselves and gradually, insidiously, we rob ourselves of our true unlimited potential.
Imagine for a moment if you could hit the delete button on whatever limits you and start with a clean slate. There would literally be nothing to worry about because whatever happened you could handle it. With no attachments to the past, no limiting beliefs, no mind chatter, life would be one long big adventure which is exactly what it should be.

Step One
Accept you’re a mess
If you are finding life challenging, you are not alone. It is important that we ask ourselves what it is that prevents us from feeling happy and fulfilled? . In nearly every case it is because we are a mess inside. A hostage to our own thoughts, feelings, emotions, values and beliefs.
Step Two
Have Faith in Your Self
Many of us lack faith in our own abilities however, we all have the power of choice. We can choose whether or not to have that cookie, have that drink, smoke that cigarette, watch that TV programme, stay up late, go to bed early
Step Three
Get the Right Support
It is perfectly possible to make profound changes in life without outside help. For some, once they get it they can make the changes needed and stick through the good times and the bad until the desired outcome is achieved.
Step Four
Identify What Limits You
What limits you? In asking this question we are looking at it in a different way to normal. Remember, the philosophy of This site is that we all have unlimited potential when born but our upbringing, experiences that we find unpleasant colour our view of the world.
Step Five
Take Responsiblity
It is very easy to blame others for our current situation. It is very easy to point the finger of blame. But remember when we point that finger by making a gesture three of those fingers point back at ourselves.
The truth is we are 100% responsible for where we find ourselves in life
Step Six
Let Go
Sorting out your stuff isn’t hard. You just need to recognise you’re a mess inside. Remove the roadblocks to life and the present moment and make a commitment to let go. You don’t need to share your shame, embarrassment, anger, sadness etc with others. The path to happiness, to the present moment, to the joy of now is an inside job.
Step 7
Go With the Flow
One of the biggest challenges we face is our resistance to life. Wanting it to be different to how it is. It is this resistance to how it is that causes dissatisfaction. Rather than flow with life we attempt to control it , to make it the way we want it. There is a famous quote life is what happens while we’re busy making other plans and I have found this to be very true in my own life.

Share the Message
The challenges facing us all in the third decade of the 21st Century are growing by the day. Unhappiness with the way things are is increasing. There is wide spread depression and the numbers of people being prescribed anit depressants is off the charts. We need a new approach and we need the right support from each other to bring joy back to life.

About Me
Perhaps the most important thing to know about me is that my wife died on Friday 13th January 2023. We’d been together for nearly 40 years.
Approaching my 60th birthday and looking at life without my partner has challenged me in ways I never anticipated. Shortly after her passing, and to honour her, I made a commitment to be happy for the rest of my life.
In order to meet that commitment I had (and still have) a lot of work to do on my Self. The birth of this website brings together the best resources I have found to enable the achivement of my hapiness goal. My hope is that you’ll want to join me on this journey allowing me to help others who (like me) feel the joy has gone from their lives.
I might be old but I’ve never stopped learning. If your like me and you want a happier more fulfilling life you’ll find all the tools you need freely available on this site.
